Post-construction cleaning
The problem
A space can be structurally complete and still not ready to hand over. Fine dust settles on every surface, paint and adhesive spots remain on glass and floors, and packaging and offcuts collect in corners.
Contractors and developers need that finishing work done to a programme, without pulling their own trades off the next job.
The outcome
A space cleaned to the agreed standard, room by room, ready for your snag inspection or client handover.
A clear record of what was cleaned, so outstanding items are visible rather than discovered later.
What is included
Typical scope. Your quotation confirms exactly what applies.
- Removal of loose construction dust from floors, walls, skirtings, sills and fittings
- Cleaning of windows, frames and glass, including removal of light paint and label residue
- Cleaning of kitchens and bathrooms, including sanitaryware, taps, tiles and cupboards inside and out
- Wiping of doors, handles, switches, plug points and light fittings within safe reach
- Vacuuming and washing of hard floors appropriate to the floor finish
- Collection of loose light debris and packaging into bags or an agreed on-site point
- Staged cleans (rough clean, final clean and touch-up clean) where a programme needs them
Not included, or by specialist
Listed so you know where the scope ends.
- Removal of heavy rubble, bulk waste or skips. Waste removal can be quoted separately where Tenax can arrange it, or remains with the contractor.
- Cleaning at height that needs scaffolding, lifts or rope access unless access equipment is arranged and confirmed in the quotation.
- Specialist restoration such as acid washing, stone sealing or floor polishing and sealing, unless specifically quoted.
- Removal of hazardous materials, including asbestos, chemicals or biological waste.

Site assessment
For most projects we visit the site before quoting so we can see the finishes, access and amount of residue.
Small, well-described jobs can sometimes be quoted from photographs and a floor area.
Visits are arranged in advance and follow your site-safety rules.
Once-off or recurring
Usually once-off per project, with staged cleans available where the programme needs them.
Service area
Our main focus is Potchefstroom and surrounding areas. Projects further afield may be considered depending on size, travel and scheduling.
Selected work elsewhere in North West and neighbouring provinces may be considered according to scope, travel and capacity.

We review the site or the information you send and confirm what is in scope.
Step 3: Written quotation
You receive a written quotation that lists the areas, the work included and the exclusions.
Step 4: Scheduling
We agree dates around your programme and other trades on site.
Step 5: Cleaning and inspection
The team works through the agreed areas, and we walk the space with you against the scope.
Step 6: Touch-ups
Items inside the agreed scope that are raised at the inspection are attended to.
